About & Team
Scientific depth.
Operational experience.
Commercial focus.
EveryCarbon brings together the capabilities required to move high-performance materials from science toward industrial reality.
Why
EveryCarbon
Industry should not have to choose between: Performance, Resilience, Economics, Circularity
Yet today’s material systems regularly force those compromises.
Material transitions only work when the replacement performs better.
That is why EveryCarbon starts with the engineering challenge: what does the material need to do? From there, it develops the materials and technology needed to meet it.
Where we are
today
EveryCarbon is developing ECOne™ and its underlying production platform from a pilot facility in Stuttgart, Germany.
Our
capabilities

Built for
execution
EveryCarbon’s development strategy combines scientific depth with operational scalability and commercial relevance.
The Builder
Sebastian Beblawy
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Superpower: Laying out the path five steps ahead, with handrails, good lighting and signs.
Read bio
Sebastian founded EveryCarbon around a question that has shaped much of his career: how can advances in biology be turned into materials that solve real industrial problems?
A biotechnologist by training, he has worked on everything from bioelectrochemical fermentation at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology to engineering microbial systems for industrial CO₂ conversion at the University of Tübingen. He has also worked at the intersection of technology and policy, helping coordinate bioeconomy programs at Umwelttechnik BW.
At EveryCarbon, Sebastian brings those threads together, leading the company as it takes new materials from scientific development toward industrial application.
The Scientist-Turned-Strategist
Apolonio I. Huerta
Chief Commercial Officer & Co-Founder
Superpower: Always ready to pounce when he spots an opportunity in R&D results.

Apolonio has spent his career moving between science and business.
After completing a PhD in Molecular Biology at ETH Zurich, he moved into venture capital, biotech business development and technology partnerships. That experience means he can look at EveryCarbon’s science through a different lens: where does it solve a real problem, who needs it, and what will it take to build a business around it?
At EveryCarbon, Apolonio leads market positioning, strategic partnerships and investor engagement, connecting the technology with the markets, partners and capital needed to move it forward.
The Scale-Up Specialist
Matteo Cociancich
Chief Technology Officer
Superpower: Treating even the smallest lab process as a load-bearing element for industrial production.
Read bio
Matteo focuses on the question every promising industrial technology eventually has to answer: how will it scale?
He brings more than seven years of experience from Electrochaea, where he worked on taking biological power-to-gas technology from pilot systems toward commercial deployment. His work included large-scale bioreactor design, process optimization, and commissioning.
At EveryCarbon, Matteo brings that industrial perspective into the development process early, helping make sure that decisions made today still make sense at a much greater scale tomorrow.
The Microbe Engineer
Leonie Rominger
Chief Scientific Officer
Superpower: Handling the endless possibilities of a microbial production platform and selecting the highest potential materials.
Read bio
Leonie is interested in what microorganisms are capable of when biology, chemistry and engineering come together.
At EveryCarbon, she leads the development of microbial products and chemical derivatives, including the advancement of the ECOne™ polyester system. Her doctoral research at TU Hamburg focused on bioelectrochemical pathways for converting CO₂ into biodegradable PHB, building on award-winning research at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
She also brings industrial R&D experience from Roche, giving her a perspective that stretches from fundamental biology through to product development and the creation of new materials.
