ECOne™ resilient
high-performance polyester.

Performance insulation for demanding building environments.

ECOne™ is the first commercial expression of the EveryCarbon production platform, developed for applications where thermal performance, moisture resistance, mechanical resilience and long-term durability need to coexist.

Resilient materials for
real-world challenges

Material panel 1

Energy efficiency and building performance are increasingly important commercial and regulatory priorities. Improving the quality of insulation used in residential and industrial infrastructure is one of the most cost-effective ways to ensure energy security.

Modern performance insulation needs to tolerate multiple environmental and operational stresses over its lifetime without losing the properties that make it effective for real-world applications.

ECOne™ is designed around these interconnected performance requirements:

Thermal performance

Moisture resistance

Mechanical resilience

Dimensional stability

Long-term durability

Processing capability

Rather than optimizing a single property, ECOne™ is being developed around how performance insulation materials need to perform in real-world applications.

A performance
material first

ECOne™ is not simply another bio-based material.

It begins with the performance and manufacturing needs of industry.

What does the material need to do?

ECOne™ is being developed as a high-performance material for applications where incumbent materials are difficult to replace. This includes fossil-derived extruded polystyrene (XPS) and polyisocyanurate/polyurethane-based foam insulation (PIR/PUR).

Its circular production pathway strengthens that proposition by unlocking improved performance through proprietary chemistry.

Focus on:
performance insulation

EveryCarbon’s first focus is high-performance insulation for demanding building environments.

Applications can include:

Structural
insulation

Perimeter
insulation

Roof
systems

Floor
systems

Moisture-exposed structures

These are environments where thermal, moisture and mechanical requirements need to work together.

Lower-carbon
building blocks

ECOne™ is enabled by EveryCarbon’s circular production platform.

Production of the core tunable diol, 2,3-BDO, that goes into ECOne™ offers up to an 85% reduction in CO₂ equivalent when compared to standard waste-treatment and fossil production routes.

This relates specifically to the core diol production pathway rather than the full ECOne™ product footprint.

Developed
for industry

Success at industrial scale depends on far more than material performance.

Processability & Scale

Development takes account of industrial production requirements to support the processing, volumes and economics needed by material converters in commercial markets.

Supply Resilience

EveryCarbon’s development approach aims to reduce reliance on vulnerable petrochemical inputs and create a resilient supply chain for the critical inputs needed to support European material supply.

Beyond the first
application

Performance insulation is our starting point, but the underlying technology is being developed with a wider set of performance challenges in mind.

Over time, the same material logic could be adapted for adjacent engineering applications requiring different combinations of:

Electrical insulation

Where electrical protection has to work alongside thermal and moisture performance.

Where barrier and bonding performance must hold under moisture and mechanical stress.

Where heat, moisture and mechanical stress act on the same component over long service lives.

Where materials face weather and repeated handling, and durability is the limiting factor.

Where thermal, moisture and mechanical requirements occur together under demanding conditions.
